About the Annapurna Region
The Annapurna Massif and Mount Dhaulagiri dominate the central Himalayas. Nepal's "Second City," Pokhara, lies to the south of the mountains, which seem close enough to touch.
The region is amazingly varied. Trek altitudes range from 2500 feet / 800 meters to 18000 feet / 5500 meters. There are climate zones from Semi-Tropical (bananas and oranges groves) to Alpine. There are a dozen main ethnic groups, and at least six different styles of houses.
But those are just samples: One of the best parts of our job is working with prospective guests to build an itinerary to suit their time and interests.
