 High value does not always mean a low price. There are many ways to charge less — choosing a guide who will work for less rather than choosing a guide who is experienced, licensed, and an expert in the trekking route; controlling your meals rather than allowing you to choose what to eat; and to hide costs up front and present you with an unwelcome surprise later. None of these “cost savings" are good for you.

Our experience is that most visitors to Nepal want the opposite: An excellent guide, good food, and no surprises about the cost or the experience.
